FROM THE MAESTRO ABOUT THE ORCHESTRA

Dear Music Lovers,

As I embark upon my ninth season at the helm of your San Bernardino Symphony, I am proud to witness how much the Orchestra enriches life in our Community.
The Inland Empire’s favorite instrumental ensemble has become an important cultural presence in the region and continues to inspire concertgoers of all ages with world-class symphonic concerts and exciting musical outreach programs.
Boasting an array of impressive musical masterworks and a youthful palette of guest soloists, the San Bernardino Symphony Orchestra’s 2009 - 2010 Season promises to uplift and thrill you as never before.
Enrich your life by attending some of the finest orchestral performances the world has to offer in San Bernardino’s historic California Theater and let the music move you!

Carlo Ponti

The San Bernardino Symphony was founded in 1929 by Maestro James K. Guthrie, an internationally renowned conductor and community leader. The Orchestra, the oldest and most prestigious in the Inland Empire, is composed of some of Southern California’s finest professional musicians and consistently reaches unmatched standards of musical performance under the dynamic leadership of Maestro Carlo Ponti. This season, like each of the eighty previous seasons of the San Bernardino Symphony, serves as a living testament to the quality of the Orchestra and the music it creates.
